Tanja Fajon visited Tetova!
The heavy snow did not stop the Slovenian Deputy at the European Parliament in Brussels, TanjaFajon to visit Tetova. Her visit wasn’t for pleasure of course, who would travel for pleasure to Macedonia at this period of time when snow has almost covered our houses. According to the metrology, or snow data statistic, in some places of Macedonia the snow has reached around 1.3 mm. Yes, wow! But again yet, skill lovers are more than welcome to visit one of the many ski-centers in Macedonia such as “Kodra e Diellit” (Mkd. PopovaShapka) or Mavorovo Mountain. TanjFajon was part of the conference “Visa Liberalization in the Balkan region” organized by the Student Union of South East European University in Tetova with media support of shqipmedia.com. The event was host at the SEEU facilities in the presence of the diplomatic chore in Macedonia such as the Ambassador of Albania Mr. ArbenCejku, Ambassador of Kosova Mr. SkenderDurmishi, Ambassador of Slovenia Mr. AlenBergant. Media representatives were all presents, as well as Skopje.Cafebabel. The event lasted about an hour with Tanjas speech and questions from the participants. After the conference, Ms.Fajon with her team, headed to the Municipality of Tetovo where she was proclaimed Honorary Citizen from the Mayer of Tetova. The event was organized perfectly, as you can see at the pictures below, which are copy-right of the news portal shqipmedia.com TanjaFajon is born in Lubjana, Slovenia. She is a Euro-Deputy since 2007 representing the EU citizens in Brussels and Strasbourg. Ms.Fajon is a very dear figure among the Albanian community in Albania, Kosova or Macedonia since she is very well-known for her persistent lobbing at the EP to secure the Albanian citizen to move freely without visa regime within the EU countries. For her hard working efforts for the Albanian community, Ms.Fajon was proclaimed honorary citizen in Tirana and now Tetova. I am delighted to bring you some pictures from both events.
